AI researcher and software engineer
I am Shane, a Toronto-based engineer working across computer vision, model evaluation, document intelligence, and production software. I focus on taking difficult technical problems from investigation to reliable implementation.

About
Background and working approachMy work sits between machine learning research and software engineering. I investigate model behavior, establish useful evaluations, and build the surrounding systems required to put a model into practice.
I value reproducible experiments, clear interfaces, secure and observable systems, and honest assessment of failure cases. The objective is not simply a convincing demonstration, but software that remains useful under real operational constraints.
